It'd Be Easier to Shutdown, Hibernate, and Wake Up When Things Are Better

I’m honestly still processing what transpired/is transpiring in the U.S. election and am having a hard time focusing on fiction writing this week. I’ll be back to it next week. I don’t often discuss politics in my newsletter because that’s not what you all signed up for so don’t worry, this will remain a place for misunderstood monsters, horror, and sci-fi. Even today, I will share an older speculative short fiction piece that explores some of the feelings and issues floating around in my head.

Currently, I’m at a loss to what to say exactly about this election. Or, more accurately, I have too many things to say so my thoughts are a cacophony of soundbites that all feel cliché and empty. The one thing I know for sure is that we can’t afford to ignore politics, especially the lies and misinformation that are spread to win these races. Those lies hurt us all and divide us further.
