Under the Bridge
A Horror Comic about the Lies We Tell
Back in 2019, I wrote a short comic for an anthology, Cthulhu is Hard to Spell: The Terrible Twos. Under the Bridge was a reaction to all the lies being told and repeated over and over again about the people and the children coming across our borders. I’ve worked with these kids and their families. They’re just like any other family in this country, trying to create a safe haven in a harsh world. The kids in immigration detention are just like your kids, and right now, they aren’t being educated, aren’t being nurtured, and are definitely not safe.
The lies told about them have only grown bolder and louder since 2019, and the horrors have only gotten worse. These lies and the hatred behind them have won a true monster two elections. These lies have built concentration camps in the United States of America. These lies have allowed a masked, roving, unaccountable force to terrorize our cities. These lies are tearing the soul of this country apart.
The lies about immigrants need to stop before they truly destroy what is left of our integrity. The truth could set us free as a country, but are we smart enough to accept it or is it already too late?
Is this Great Experiment a lost cause?
I wish I could give the children in these horrific camps supernatural powers so that they could free themselves but until then, it is truly up to us.
Under the Bridge
It’s not a child’s job to stop the lies being told about them. It’s ours. So, let’s stop them.

Nicely done!❤️🔥
