Today, I’m sharing a digital download of Origins #2 which is the prologue of the second book of the Mary Shelley’s School for Monsters series, THE KILLING STONE.
The book launch for the complete graphic novel is currently live on Kickstarter.
It took nearly a century, but Dr. M has finally released one of the most dreaded yōkai in Japan - Tamamo-no-mae, the nine-tailed fox. Those close to her call her Mae. Unfortunately, for Shel and team, they are the ones who accidentally trapped Mae in The Killing Stone and left her for dead in the first place. Something the incredibly powerful yōkai might just consider unforgivable.
Monsters that appear in the The Killing Stone (many of which you can read about here on Monster of the Week):
Tamamo-no-Mae - the deadly and powerful nine-tailed fox or kitsune.
Frank - the real monster that inspired Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein
Necro - the cute and cuddly version of the Necronomicon
Nari - a new student and powerful onryō.
Shel - the supernatural version of Mary Shelley and powerful spellcaster.
Barg or Barghest, the black hound.
Eino, a Firefox.
Dr. M - inspired by Dr. Moreau. He’s mostly human but all villain.
