Happy Friday!
For all the writers out there or just those interested in writing, I’m sharing a link to the article I wrote for the SFWA (Science Fiction and Fantasy Writer’s Association) blog. It was published this week as a part of a new series called The Comics Panel. A group of diverse creatives will be writing articles on different topics involving comics. I was first up with breaking down the difference between writing for comics, novels, and the screen.
This weekend, I will be hanging with some of my favorite peeps at Los Angeles Times Festival of the Books. Please swing by our booth if you are attending. We’ll have plenty of books, comics, and anthologies to check out. Mostly horror, fantasy, and science fiction. All magic!
Any subscriber of Monster of the Week who mentions the newsletter to me at the event will receive a cool freebie. If you can’t make it, any book orders placed on my website this weekend will also come with the cool freebie!
Mark Mactal and I have a short Krampus-inspired comic in the Holiday Spirits anthology put out by
. If you love holiday-themed horror, definitely go check out the Kickstarter and pre-order your copy.Very soon, I will have a brand new monster to explore with you all. HINT: It is a monster that shows up in a horror movie opening this weekend that is based on a video game… Can you guess what monster is next?
Finally, if you missed reading my short dystopian fiction inspired by the sirens, it is still available.
Have fun at the Festival of Books and congrats on your SFWA article. :)
